Vincent Glanzmann enjoys himself as a drummer, sound designer and multimedia artist. Born in Tokyo, Japan, the internationally active artist is currently based in Zurich, Switzerland. His specially designed experiences, performances, and releases reveal an intimate and caring devotion to detail, aesthetics and a sense of synesthetic non-linearity. His artistry has been showcased in underground offspaces, squats, galeries, museums, festivals, opera houses as well as the Paris Fashion Week. He obtained a Master of Arts degree in music performance / jazz at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts in 2012 and has operated as a freelancer and independent artist ever since. He was appointed the Artist in Residence 2016 at Moods, Zurich and in 2017 the city of Zurich honored him with the cultural award “Werkjahr”. For the period of 2023 2027 he was granted with a scholarship by the Arvore Foundation. Alongside his artistic work, Vincent is a Board Member of Moods, Zurich’s internationally acclaimed music club, and actively contributes to the Moods Musicians Council on a voluntary basis. He is also a jury member for the City of Zurich’s cultural funding department. In May 2025, the dialect fantasy story “Helsinki” (Der gesunde Menschenversand), co-authored with Dominic Oppliger, will be published for young audiences.
