AND THAT HAPPENED
It is the ambivalence between fascination and unease in the face of omnipresent aesthetics – the invisible violence, the absurdity of the everyday, and the awareness of being part of this construct oneself. Defiant pensioners, privileged sons, and Meggie the giant sloth speak of life in the shadow of grand narratives – of the blur between preservation and paralysis. Their stories revolve around tactile experiences, colonial entanglements, uncertain lighting conditions, and nature as a mirror of social power relations.
ATH is a homage to the b-roll shots – those in-between moments that open up spaces, condense atmospheres, and play with the seemingly identical.
